Melissa Ziegler Monroe is a ceramic artist working in Mokena Il. Melissa earned a BA in liberal Arts from Knox College in 1993. She majored in studio arts with a concentration in ceramics and oil painting. After living in Chicago for many years Melissa has been happy to develop her art in her converted barn at her home. Melissa has found inspiration for her work in natural forms found in her perennial and vegetable garden. Vintage cut glass designs and cast buttons are used to decorate her pieces.  Shows and sells her work in the Chicago area.
